This is a sodium lamp fitting of some considerable age. The lamp housing is broken. Lighting conditions in the road a very poor, among the worst witnessed on Wirral. There is one other lamp at the far end of the road, but it sheds little light this far up the street. The main road end (Poulton Road) is very poorly lit and poses a danger to pedestrians.
